How to become a root or superuser in ubuntu

If you want to run a command with superuser or root  which deals with system files you can use

“sudo”

here sudo, sudoedit – execute a command as another user.sudo allows a permitted user to execute a command as the superuser or
another user, as specified in the sudoers file.

for examples :

admin@smartproteam$ sudo cat /var/log/syslog

or

you can become as root using below command

admin@smartproteam$ sudo -i

root@smartproteam$ cat /var/log/syslog
